Health and social care staff

Delivering accessible services, to improve care and wellbeing for the public.

Overview

Illustration of 3 avatars connected by a dotted lineHealth and care services take place in a variety of formal settings, but also in the community, in homes, libraries and hubs. Moving care into community settings, by delivering more care at home and reducing hospital admissions, is essential to services of the future.

Adopting digital practices, including collaboration with partners in the third, independent and housing sectors, is central. National Digital Platform (NDP) will provide the technology that will enable this.

Benefits

One of the main benefits of the NDP is to allow better access to health and care data. With better access to data, staff can make better decisions about care, whatever the setting. The technology available on the NDP will improve consistency of access to core digital tools in the health and care system.

Access to data

Staff have better access to health and care data to deliver better care, regardless of the setting.

Improved experience

Simplified, secure access and a consistent experience for staff.

Integrated systems

Improved collaboration through better integration capability for healthcare systems.
